The time-loop structure is one of my favorite movie tropes—films in which a character is doomed to repeat the same period of hours or days over and over until they figure out how to break themselves out of temporal purgatory. Think Groundhog Day, Netflix’s Russian Doll and the horror film Happy Death Day.
